Navigation Using Inverting Genetic Algorithms: Initial Conditions and Node-Node Transitions
نویسندگان
چکیده
Navigation path optimization derives its cost function from the total cost of travel. These costs can accrue from distance, traffic patterns, preferred order of node sequencing, maximum preferred distance between nodes, and other pragmatic considerations (node-node costs). For a traveling salesman problem (TSP), these costs are usually distances. This paper considers the effects of the initial states in the “genome”—focusing on the use of rule-based and clustering techniques for initial conditions. It also considers the effects of weighting the node-node transition costs on algorithm convergence and final path cost. The best tested combination of initial states and rules for recombination involves weighting each by the distances between nodes. In addition to the mean of the residual error μ, the metric designated algorithmic efficacy (AE) is introduced as a useful comparative metric for navigational optimization algorithms. Four novel and six published TSP problems are investigated: μ is shown to improve in every case, while AE has a wide range of results.

Navigation Using Hybrid Genetic Programming: Initial Conditions and State Transitions
genetic algorithms, navigation, optimization Real-time navigation requires the dynamic updating of node-node (state) transition costs. These state transition costs are based on, among other things, distance, traffic patterns, and intelligent clustering of nodes based on similarity in the navigator’s intents at each destination, maximum distance preferred between nodes, and other pragmatic consi...

This article proposes a new planning navigation strategy for use with mobile terrestrial robots. The proposed algorithm is applicable in any point of the areas for tasks such as cleaning the floors of building, mowing and clearing mined areas. The strategy of this algorithm is analyzed and checked in conditions where the environment and the obstacles are known. There are various routing algorit...

‎The most challenging task in dealing with Bayesian networks is learning their structure‎. ‎Two classical approaches are often used for learning Bayesian network structure;‎ ‎Constraint-Based method and Score-and-Search-Based one‎. ‎But neither the first nor the second one are completely satisfactory‎. ‎Therefore the heuristic search such as Genetic Alg...
متن کاملCoverage Improvement In Wireless Sensor Networks Based On Fuzzy-Logic And Genetic Algorithm
Wireless sensor networks have been widely considered as one of the most important 21th century technologies and are used in so many applications such as environmental monitoring, security and surveillance. Wireless sensor networks are used when it is not possible or convenient to supply signaling or power supply wires to a wireless sensor node. The wireless sensor node must be battery powered.C...
متن کاملOn the Six Node Hexagon Elements for Continuum Topology Optimization of Plates Carrying in Plane Loading and Shell Structures Carrying out of Plane Loading
The need of polygonal elements to represent the domain is gaining interest among structural engineers. The objective is to perform static analysis and topology optimization of a given continuum domain using the rational fraction type shape functions of six node hexagonal elements. In this paper, the main focus is to perform the topology optimization of two-dimensional plate structures using Evo...
